Romano X Reader : Hate It To Love You

You were off for some afternoon stroll, when suddenly, you noticed some familiar figure was walking of ahead you. Racognized who that person was, you fasten your step to approach that guy, and gave a tap on his shoulder while saying, "Hey, Lovino!"

Lovino jumped a little because of your touch, then he turned to you with an annoyed face, "_-_____?! Dammit, you fucking shocked me, you know!"

You smirked a little from his side, "How can such little touch scared you? Quite a chicken, aren't you?"

"That's not true, dammit!"

You just laughed a little to his reaction. Since the first time you befriend this guy as your neighbour, you just couldn't ever missed a chance to tease him. Well, you couldn't help it, it just somewhat fun to do! Then you noticed something as the two of you began to walk together. "Where's Feli? You guys usually together wherever you go."

"Heh, that bastard has fallen sick," he explained. "So I have to go out to buy some medicine to cure his damned fever."

"I see." You just could imagine that air-headed and cheerful Feliciano should lie weakly on bed because of fever. Poor Feli. "Then I'll come with you," you announced to Lovino. "I'll go see Feliciano."

Lovino grunted the reply, "Fine, just do as you like," while threw his attention back to the street ahead.

In the pharmacy, a very pretty nurse welcomed you, and asked what you need in a friendly manner. Lovino, who had been grumbling all along the way to apothecary, suddenly turned beaming. He smiled back to the nurse, with quite a cheerful air as Feli's. "My, that's so nice of you to ask." Then he told the nurse about his sick little brother and asked wether they have some medicine for his fever. You noticed that Lovino seemed to make the story long in purpose. After a few minute, the topic had shifted, into him asking the nurse name, phone number, address, wether she already had a boyfriend, and so on.

You, somewhat pissed by his act, tweaked his ear.

"Ou-ou-ouch!!" he ouched loudly, then turned to you with that really annoyed expression again. "What the hell was that for?"

"Just get the medicine, quick," you scold him lightly. "Feli's waiting at home."

"Okay, okay," he grunted again. "Sheesh..."

After Lovino asked for the medicine again and paid it with nice attitude, the two of you walked out of the pharmacy. Or more exactly, you dragged Lovino out of the pharmacy. On the way home, the two of you didn't talk quite much. Mostly because Lovino was busy winked and flirted with some pretty girls that passed by. Seeing his behaviour, yuo couldn't help but sighed.

You did knew about the trait of the Vargas brothers that they love to flirt with pretty ladies. You remembered that Feliciano also flirted with you a bit when you visited them for the first time, as their new neighbour, and he still treated you in less or more the same way even until now. But now that you think about it, Lovino never treated you that way. The way he talked to you was just the same as the way he would talked to guys, full of 'damn', 'shit', 'jerk', 'bastard', and other colorful curses...

For a while, you just stared at that guy from side, lost in your thought. He suddenly noticed your stare, and asked harshly, "What is it, dammit?"

"Lovino, do you think I'm pretty?"

Lovino's cheek suddenly turned red. "W-wh-what- Where the hell t-that fucking sudden question come from?!" he stuttered.

"Well, you flirts with almost every girl you meet, but you never even once do it to me," you answered it straight to the point, feeling a bit shy about it yourself. "Why is that? Am I not pretty?"

Lovino's face just getting redder, almost as red as tomatoes that he really loved. His mouth was moving fastly, made sounds of unclear mumble. He obviously looked nervous and confused.

You glared him very closely, waiting for the answer.

Being glared like that, he finally shouted in frustation. "Shit! Stop staring me like that, God-dammit!!" Then he suddenly scooped you face using both of his hand, and pushed his face onto yours, hit your lips with his for a mere second. The next second, he already pulled his face back, looked all red.

Now you just could stare at him in disbelief, and touched your lips.

"Damn it. You make me nervous every time you stare at me like that, you know!" he talked angrily while looking away from your face.

You couldn't reply him yet, still shocked

Lovino kept on blabbering, "Not only your stare, your voice, your smile, your laugh... Knowing your presence around me just make me so damn nervous, I don't know how I should act in front of you! M-maybe, I do- f-f-ff-fell in ll-l-love with you, but I know there's no way you'd like me back since I'm such a jerk and all... I know that perhaps you'd rather go out with happy-go-luck Feliciano who always so cheerful and cute and-!"

His blabber stopped in a snap as you suddenly leaned on and gave him a kiss. As you pulled back a little, you could see the great surprise on Lovino's face. His eyes was widened and his jaw dropped.

You gave him a gentle smile and said to him, "Silly, Lovino. I won't choose Feli over you just because of something like that. I like you just the way you are."

Lovino's face once again gone red, but then a smile bloomed on his face. The first warm and charming face he showed to you. He touch his hand gently to your cheeks, and you could feel that your cheeks was also burned.

"I love you, _____," he whispered full of affection and  relieve.

"I love you too," you replied him, and the two of you moved closer to have another sweet kiss, longer this time, ignoring all the people stare around you.

Afterward, you went home by holding each other hand all along the way. You two walked without throwing insulting tone at each other for the first time, and enjoyed the sweet and peaceful air that enveloped the two of you.
